Exceptional stability with the Computerised NexStar Dual-Arm Fork Mount.
With an array of sought-after features in an easy-to-use telescope, you can’t go wrong with the Celestron CPC 800. The Celestron CPC 800 Computerised Cassegrain Telescope (also commonly known as Celestron CPC 800 GPS XLT Computerised Telescope or just CPC 8) combines advanced GoTo technology with legendary 8-inch SCT optics for a powerful observing experience. The 8″ tube sits on an exceptionally sturdy, dual-arm fork mount making finding, tracking and observing the night sky intuitive for everyone. As a NexStar mount, you’ll enjoy observing or imaging from a database of over 40,000 celestial objects. This custom database lists out the most famous deep-sky objects for you so you know exactly what you’re looking at, in real-time.
The CPC Dual-Arm Fork Mount features a redesigned drive base and drive mechanics with large drive gears and a quick-release clutch, making the telescope slew as quietly and accurately as possible. The CPC Mount also accounts for Periodic Error (PE) with Periodic Error Correction (PEC), counteracting the minor errors during long-exposure imaging to ensure that tracking remains accurate.
Surprisingly easy-to-use.
The Celestron CPC 800 GPS-XLT uses SkyAlign to make setup a breeze by allowing you to align on any three bright objects in the night sky. And with an internal GPS, alignment becomes surprisingly simple – even for beginners.
Impressive optical quality.
If 8″ of aperture wasn’t enough, the Celestron CPC 800 GPS-XLT SCT Telescope features Celestron’s StarBright XLT Coatings. This lets the telescope reflect about 95% of light, making sure you get as much detail as possible in your views and images. And with a huge 2032mm (80-inch) focal length, the CPC 800 is a great all-rounder – meaning you can use it to observe or image deep-sky objects (DSOs), the planets and the moon.
You’ll never get bored with the CPC.
You can also be confident that your CPC800 remains as up-to-date as possible, with flash upgradeable hand control software and motor control units making downloading new product updates over the internet possible. And with an auxiliary port for additional accessories such as an AutoGuider and GPS accessories, there’s a plethora of upgrades available for this telescope.
