Sky-Watcher Single Axis DC Motor Drive for EQ3

The Sky-Watcher Single Motors for EQ3 is an essential upgrade for controlling the movement of the mount through a simple hand controller. The RA motor moves at sidereal speed for correcting the Earth rotation, keeping the pointed object in the field. The hand controller has 4 buttons for moving the telescope along the R.A. axis with a speed of 4x and 8x.

The motor drive is a indispensable accessory for long exposure astrophotography. If fact, without tracking, photos will appear blurry after few seconds of exposure due to the Earth rotation.
